 7th - 8th Grade Supply List
2011-2012 School Year


The following supply list is meant to be a guide as you prepare for the 2011-2012 school year. Additional supplies may be needed.

 
For All Subjects:


Pencils (preferably mechanical)

#2 pencils (Mrs. Roberts)

Arrow tip erasers (Mrs. Roberts)

3 hole notebook paper (2 packs) (Mrs. Roberts & Mrs. Hostetter)

5 tab notebook dividers (2 packs) (Mrs.Roberts)

extra erasers

(6) 2 Pocket Folders

Blue or Black pens

Accent Highlighter (Pack of 6 - 2 Shades of Yellow, Green, Orange, Pink, Blue)

4 Pens any color other than blue or black 

Dry Board Eraser or Piece of felt

EXPO Brand Dry Board Markers (dark colors) (3)(Other brands stain the boards.)

Colored Pencils

Textbook covers

Data storage advice (Flashdrive) ****** Students will need this for research papers.

Three 2 Pocket Folders (Turpin)

Multiple Pocket Soft Folder  (Should have at least 5-6 pockets)

Notebook

2 Wire bound notebooks - easy tear (Roberts & Hostetter)

Index Cards 3x5 - 2 packs with lines

Index Cards 4x6 - 1 pack, 1 pack with lines

Poster Board for Various Projects (May purchase as needed)

4 (2 Pocket Folders)  1 for LAL and 1 for Writing and 2 for Library Science

Note: 2-pocket folders for Science Notes must have three bendable tabs to hold important papers in the proper order, as well as common 3-hole notebook.

Note: The smaller  3-ring binder is recommended for better management.

Specialized Science Fair Project Boards may be purchased anywhere at varied prices as the the Oldmans Science Fair date approaches.

(Mr. Walzer will again attempt to locate a source for a lower group rate.)

 

Science students should buy their own data storage devices to help transfer information between school and home computers. (Sticks, Disks, etc.)

 

Fine print permanent markers are needed to personally label science materials
